About Roadside Detailing
OUR STORY
It started with a love of cars.
Ric has always loved cars, motorbikes and pretty much anything with an engine. After leaving school, he got a job washing cars. At the time, not many people thought it was going to lead anywhere, but it ended up being the start of a career he has now spent more than two decades building.
He started out driving around the Sunshine Coast doing cheap car washes, gradually building his experience, customer base and reputation. In 2002, Ric took the next step and created Roadside Auto Care Detailing, turning what had started as a simple car washing job into a business of his own.
A few years ago, we rebranded as Roadside Detailing, but the way Ric approaches his work has never changed. He genuinely cares about the cars he works on and the people who trust him with them. His attention to detail, honesty and willingness to go above and beyond are things our customers comment on time and time again.
THEN CARLY JOINED IN
From admin to interiors.
Before joining Roadside Detailing, Carly worked in administration for a financier and later as a PA for a solicitor.
After having our kids, Carly knew that going back to work for someone else was not really what she wanted to do. We decided to give working together a go and see if we could make it work financially. Thankfully, we could, and what started as a bit of a leap has become a huge part of our family life.
These days, Carly takes care of the interior side of the business. She will happily admit that she struggles a little with the idea of a “standard” detail, because once she starts on an interior, she wants it to be 100% perfect.
Together, we have built Roadside Detailing into a business we are incredibly proud of, with the same focus on care, honesty and doing the job properly that has been there from the beginning.
What Sets Us Apart
One of the things we hear most from our customers is just how much Ric cares. His attention to detail is something people regularly comment on, but it goes beyond the cars themselves.
Ric is incredibly loyal and honest and will always go above and beyond for the people who trust him with their vehicles. If something needs extra time or attention, it gets it. We want every vehicle that leaves Roadside Detailing to be something we’re proud to put our name to.

Between Ric’s experience and eye for detail, and Carly’s inability to leave an interior alone until she’s completely happy with it, Roadside Detailing has grown into a business we’re incredibly proud of.
